When my car is hot the coolant water starts to bubble. I have seen this in the little pipe behind the passenger head light with the yellow cap. Is this bad or is it air in the system or somthing else? my car is a my99. Any ideas?

cheers Jason

Jas, I am very sorry to say in my experience of my Sti v3 the bubbles = head gaskets gone!
If you drive your car VERY hard and the bubbles and coolant are discharges from the location you say then the gaskets are gone. The bubbles can keep emmerging even minutes after the engine is switched off.

If you want further advice call David at www.apiengines.co.uk and take it from there.
Sorry, been there just 4 weeks ago!
