Default jacking up the front

I need to jack up the front of my MY01 WRX to have a look at something , but whats the best way to do it ?

I have a set of ramps but the car wont go on to them without it ripping off the front bumper. Is there anywhere I can safley use a trolley jack to lift up the front so I can slide the ramps underneath the wheels

cheers

Phil

Buy yourself some axle stands, jack the front up by using a towing eye, then support with the axle stands on the wishbone mounting point.

Thanks Steve, I do have some axle stands but I wouldn't know a wishbone mounting point if it fell off and hit me on the head. Thanks for the towing eye idea though

Once its jacked up, look behine the front wheels, and the very lower part of whats behind it is the wishbone. It splits and goes to 2 places, one towards the engine, the other rearwards.

Follow it rearwards and see where it mounts, crudly underneath where the accelerator pedal is, but obviously underneath the car.

I use the wishbone points because the chasis is not strong enough for a axle stand to touch without damaging it.
