Question effects of BOV and De-cat on fuel consumption?

hi guys,

i recently fitted a blitz VTA BOV to my car along with a decat centre and big bore exhaust.

car seems to b drinkin alot more fuel, havent really had a chance to go on a long drive yet to properly confirm this, so was wondering if it is consumin more fuel wats more likely to b responsible for this; exhaust or BOV?

thanx in advance

Only if it's between the downpipe and the mid-pipe, which could cause more oxygen in the downpipe and alter the lambda sensor reading, though this is a little unlikely.

after removing centre cat I found that fuel economy increased slightly - but maybe only by about 5-10mile on full tank (before petrol light comes on)

curious as to whether a newly fitted STI panel filter will have any impact on economy.

Have to agree with StickyMicky - When first got Backbox & decat centre you tend to toe it a bit more to hear the growl - when the novelty dies down (a little ) your economy should improve.
