Default 1.7bar

i have just been speaking to a friend who reckons he is running a my97uk standard internals just uprated intercooler and td05 at 1.7 bar how long will this last??!! the people who mapped it reckon its safe and someone else he has spoke to reckons its safe wat do u lads think??

if hes from blackburn i hope it blows up love burnley lol sorry (joke)

if its mapped up well m8 it should be ok for a bit, but its like any other car if hes giving it a lot of stick it will blow,imho i wouldnt do it not on a uk car,iam running 26psi on my 22B with standard top mount ic and thats a bit to much.

1.7bar it should be mental like mine if i were you id see about get your boost a little lower been my mission but mine has meant a different a turbo but i'll still be happier when my boost is lower as its more kinder to the engine so less chance of rebuild as said if its mapped right but i alway worry
