Compatability
Right, i am in the process of sourcing parts for my 1992 WRX import. So far i have had various people tell me different things. Some people seem to think that UK spec parts will not fit onto a jap import and others (including me) think that it makes no difference.
Please can someone put my mind at rest and tell me the truth about it!?
My arguement is that ALL subaru's are imported, its just that UK spec ones are 'tweeked' to comply with UK laws (such as rear fog lights etc). I cant imagine a UK spec car having a different bonnet or wing etc to an Jap spec one!???
Thanks in advance
Luke

Quite a few JDM classics come with aluminium bonnets and boots, you dont get those on a uk classic!
STi's (classic) have alloy suspension arms, but items like wings and bumpers should be compatable.
There are differences, a JDM car on the whole is normally better spec'd than a uk turbo, they need 100 ron fuel rather than 95 ron fuel to run correctly otherwise you can have engine problems (like det and failure ).
Parts are easier to source now though (breakers and the likes) so not really much in it between UK and JDM.
