Question MY99 Boost problem????

I have a MY99 uk turbo, only mods are blitz nur spec r and blitz SUS induction kit. When the car is on boost anywhere between 3500-5000 revs in 3rd and 4th the car occasionally has a big jerk or 2 and then is fine, any ideas on what is the cause?? I was thinking the MAF????

Big jerk as in fuel cut, or bogged down hesitation? Do you have any gauges (boost/AFR/Knocklink)...?

If fuel cut, check to make sure all the hoses between the compressor, T-piece, wastegate solenoid, wastegate actuator are all OK, with no splits anywhere. Make sure the restrictor just before the T-piece isn't blocked. Give your wastegate solenoid a clean.

If bogged down hesitation, could well be MAF. Expecially as it's a MY99. And also as you've fitted an induction kit, which are also known to occasionally cause problems with sensitive MAFs. For the sake of ~£70 at a dealer, get a new one. Part code is 22794AA010 Meter CP-Air Flow.

Thumbs up

Cheers mate, I havnt got any gauges as yet they are on the shopping list!! It is more like a big hesitation than fuel cut, i will check hoses tomorrow and then order a new MAF,

Thanks
