Weighed my MY99 STi RA today .....
... and it is 1280 kg - no driver, half a tank of fuel and the spare wheel.
It's the V Ltd edition, so it has AC and leccy windows.

So does that confirm what the manufacturers data is for the car. How much lighter is than a stock my99?
It is useful to know the real weight of the car, particularly when using software like Delta Dash to calculate your power curves etc.

Yep the manufacturers weights are dry, so no fluids but i believe the spare and jacks etc are in there!
Full tank of fuel = 55kg
engine oil will be around 10kg
gearbox oil around 6kg
coolant another 2-3kg
So it all adds up and makes a bit of difference
from what i remember, the book says
my99 1280kg
01wrx 1380kg
01sti 1480kg

Think a 60 litre tank is more like 40kg from the density figures I looked up. 1235kg for the MY99/00 UK saloons were without aircon, whereas 1270 is listed for STi/P1 both with aircon, but of course ally bonnets etc, so presumably the aircon is at least 35kg.

I weighed my MY00 UK/Euro spec turbo with myself in the car and a quarter tank of fuel and it weighed 1370kg. Take off my 88kg and you're left with 1282kg. It has airco as well.
Cheers,
George.

1litre of water weighs 1kg (give or take a nanogram) so i don't think that petrol would be that different in weight
Engine takes 4.5litres of oil, i would think oil to be slightly heavier so maybe 5kg
Sorry for not being so precise pavlo they were only rough figures that i quoted

On this list, vehicle gasoline is about 73.7% the density of water, so 44kg for a 60 litre tank.
