Hesitation problem this morning ?
Don't know how best to explain as other half was driving my 98 STI RA this morning and told me car was hesitating and not boosting correctly. Went to get car from her work and took it for a quick spin and got to about 10psi in 2nd, 3rd & 4th and car then held back.
Checked under bonnet for any boost leaks etc and all seemed fine. Gave car a couple of blasts of revs from under bonnet to listen for any probs and all was fine.
Took car for a 20 - 30 mile run and now running perfectly. Bloody annoying when you have not changed anything and problem goes away.
Any ideas to what this could be ?

Is the boost standard, and being controlled by the ECU, or have you got a manual boost controller? If it's standard, you could try cleaning the wastegate solenoid and associated hoses. If this helps, check your engine oil level is about halfway between min and max, to prevent it from clogging up again.
