STi speedo under-reading
The chap I sold my STi to has come back to me complaining that the Speedo doesn't kick into life until its doing 10mph, and is consistently 10mph to low.
Whats the best way forward?
I guess checking the convertor from dash to G/Box isn't loose. Any other ideas? Do these things break, or are they generally mechanical?
Appreciate this isn't now my problem, but would like to try and resolve it...

It's quite normal for the speedo not to kick in until 10mph.
As for it under reading, I had trouble with mine stopping working. The converter which is a little black box containing a PCB is mounted on the loom between the sensor and the connector under the intercooler. This has dry joints on it, and given that it was dangling next to the DP it was always going to happen.

Ta for that.
I wouldn't say its normal though? This is the only car i've had that does it. Or do you mean normal for a converted import?
How'd you fix yours? New unit?
Anyone post a pic of where it lives? I have to describe it to the new owner
