Default steering feels vague

My car has been of the road for 6 months, as I remember it used to feel like a go cart and now it feels like a cavalier. It seems to have a bit of play in the steering but I only notice this when on the motorway.

Anyone got any ideas I have a feeling it is one of the bushes but I dont know which one....?

If the vagueness is around the centre, it may be worth getting tracking done. I had this symptom, went for tracking and found it was out by 3 degrees, the car felt alot sharper afterwards.

Ive just had the Anti roll bar bushes sorted on my mondeo, the car use to have a little play in there at speed but is much better now
I think they come in a pack of 2 anyway (well mine did ) as its always better to replace 2 at a time than just the one.

I had the wheel allignment done just before it came off the road but your right it is showing all the symptoms of that. If there is a worn bush somewhere then this could have a similar effect i.e. the movement would cause the wheels to be out of line...I think can anyone clarify this..?
