Default driving hard, worried!

im drive my scoob as they would say HARD how long is it going to last ive had it 8 months. what are common problems, since i have joined scoobynet everyone seems to have popped theirs!!

Mines lasted me for 5 years and is 11 years old!

It's not totally related to how you drive it. It's how you take care of it, thrashing the nuts off it when its cold, not changing oil enough or using standard stuff when driving it hard will all take it's toll.

Also driving it and not noticing any running problems, or worse ignoring it and wondering why it goes pop a few months later. If it missfires, has flatspots idles a bit "off" then without getting it checked out a small fault (such as a maf failing) will lead on to a big fault (engine).

Nobody can say how long it will last, it's down to the driver, maintanence and luck!
