HELP WITH ELECTRICAL GAUGES
Hiya peops.
This is our first post for tec help. We have just bought 3 gauges and a pod. Have wired up the boost gauge fine and all the illumination on the 3 are fine.
They are autometer gauges consisting of oil temp, oil pressure and boost. The oil temp and pressure are electrical gauges. Need some sort of adapter to take a feed of the oil switch (Below alternater) for the pressure. What about the oil temp. Would ie be ok to take it off the oil sump???????? any help appreciated for a newbie would be appreciated

Sump can show low readings as it's cooled by air-flow. Best point is above #3 cylinder under the Intercooler. There should already be a plug there ready to accept a sender.

Surely the sender mounted into a sump plug is not affected by air flow as the majority of the unit is inside the sump and plug. My understanding is that fixing it into the plug on cylinder 3 is a bit of a barsteward. I may be wrong though

It may be cooler in there as its had a little residence time in the sump, and some cooling from passing air. On the engine gives the max temp.
