Could be a misfire rather than over fuelling. How old are your spark plugs, have you checked their condition/gaps recently. Changing them would be first thing I reckon, and if it doesn't cure, look at other components in the ignition system like leads coil pack etc.

Hope you get it sorted soon

Do you get any boost pressure at all?

Coil packs or a dicky boost solenoid would be a good start.

Si...
Dont know if this is related in any way...but, have you got a UK 22b ??

Just that, when we put Gems on my UK wagon, it was overfueling/missing really bad, so bad, that the car eventually wouldn't run after a while.

Same symptoms as you, car was fine for a while, then after a few miles (if that) it would let go again.

Now, Gems/Steve Simpson done a lot of testing, and found that there was excessive noise from the cam sensor on the 97/98 UK cars..(3 pin ecu)
So they had to re-write the code.

I could be totally wrong, but thats what happened to mine.
