Exclamation 03STi - standard plugs?

The handbook states PFR6G which I know is the standard fitting for WRX, but does not differentiate between WRX and STi. Does the STi take this plug? As I have STi PPP I would have thought a 7G at least would have been a logical choice for safetys sake?

My JDM handbook for my MY03 STi says 6's for the JDM wrx, 7's for the STi's.

In the Eurospec STi there are PFR 6 G fitted, so the same plug as the WRX. I doubt if you can get the PFR 7 G, my supplier told me the PFR 7 G is only available with a 1.1 mm gap (PFR 7 G -11). This gap is too big to be closed to 0.7 mm! I heard the PFR 7 B will do fine in an STi, I never tested though. (not yet!)

If that is true, I have to look for a different supplier!

The only ones that dont run .7-.8mm are the NA cars.
Having gotten around some of the japanese (the NGK bit does give it away though )
This is what it says (MY03 JDM handbook).

1.5 PFR5B-11 NGK 1.0-1.1mm
2ltr NA KJ20SR11 1.0-1.1mm (no NGK on this one).
2ltr PFR6G (this is the JDM WRX) NGK .7-.8mm
STI PFR7G NGK .7-.8mm

PFR7B's work very well. Currently what I have in gapped to the usual 0.7mm. As std my plugs were 6G's, very sparkly.

Bob,

With "sparkly" do you mean light detonation?

Bob
As you're on, cost aside, what would you recommend - NGK platinim (PFR7B) or maybe HKS iridium (S35i?) I've used the latter item in a 99MY you Link'ed and mapped for me, and they were fine.
