Not many, if any people rate the superchip, im not sure if ecutek have brought any software out for mapping the MY97/98 cars, you could see if scoobyecu do a mod for your car though.

dastek
just got mine done about 2 months ago
i got a 56 mm full decat . done ages ago
so i just got the chip
kept boost to 0.9 bar
the reading on the 4 wheel dyno says 137kw at the wheels
and running low boost
also using 93 ron .. which is why i went for the chip

Personally the only place I would put chips is with fish.

On a 97-98 car you do not HAVE to touch the ECU until well down the modding path unless you want to. The standard ECU is very much underrated. I would only replace it once most of your bolt on mods are done.

Anyone who tells you that you MUST remap is talking crap.

I have a MY97 UK turbo on the standard ECU which will tear the **** out of most of these so called rechipped/remapped cars.

How does 386bhp sound?

Don't listen to the dreamers, listen to those who pull the figures.

1994 wrx import thinking of scoobecu
car has 220bhp as standard (been a told a few times this figure even with decat would only be 230ish car has z4 ecu) what would be the benefits(also told use normal unleaded with the odd tank of super by so called experts now use optimax plus millers)any thoughts from somone who has been through this before with an import

i'm guessing the ecu on a uk car and import are totaly different but would this also be the case for my MY98 wrx?
