I have a metal to metal knocking noise which I assumed was a loose heatshield.

Having checked I fouund one bolt missing and the heatshield was loose. I put another bolt in an tightened it up and there is now no play.

The noise appears to be coming from the suspensin area and occurs everytime I go over a bump or uneven surface.

I have changed the drop links and checked suspension and nothing appears loose.

I wonder whether it might be the wishbone bush or lower balljoint.

Anyone have any suggestions.
