SCOTT-LOWE MUDFLAPS
Just fitted a set of Scott-Lowe flaps......look superb but they don't half drag. The front ones seem to be the problem. The rear ones are on the lowest setting but not too bad..................any comments other than "take em off" .............lol

have a similar 'problem' with the front flaps on my MY03 STi. With prodrive springs fitted the front flaps sit around 2" off the floor. Only really have the 'problem' when I slam it into corners.
doesnt really bother me as the car look the danglies with them fitted .... I guess I could always corner that bit slower

Cheers Jasoon
From memory I'm sure I set the front flaps on the highest setting
I still havent drilled the front arch for the self taper ..... havent got the confidence to get the black and decker out ....... Will wait for next service time and get the garage to do it!

I've go two things in mind rather then drilling a hole ,no way I'm putting a hole in a new car with less than 1000 miles on the clock.
First one is I'm getting two plates made up with a piece of threaded bar sticking out ,going to glue the plate to the inner wing.
The other is to glue the Mud Flap to the inner wing.
Prefer the first option then the Mud Flap's can be removed if need be.
Someone I know used no more nails on his and hasn't had any problems.

'no more nails' .... ummm..... might be a better option that drilling.
When I was up at powerstation recently, they advised against just drilling the arch ... something to do with rust ..... not really had any problems leaving it loose so not in any great rush to secure it

Yeh, I bit the bullet and drilled the front arch...............loads of waxoyl underseal applied though. The front ones only have the one height setting so thats what there at. Regrading the drilling, I think I will take the wheels off, remove the self tappers and check after a month or two. just to check for any signs of potential corrosion. May decide to treat the area again but dont know what with yet. By the way, mines an MY98 UK Turbo.
