Induction kit and FMIC??
A couple of questions really.I am going for a front mount IC soon but I will have the induction kit (K+N) sooner.
First question is,having an MY99 UK ,and hence film type MAF, is this a potentially dangerous combo or should I change the MAF to another type? If so which?
Secondly I should have the IC next week but cannot get a remap until 28th of this month. Can the car be run without a remap at full chat or would the fuelling lean out to critical levels?
Thanks all.

Knocklink and a decent Air/Fuel meter would be advisable before you start making any mods...
...That way you have some idea of what's going on with regards to fuelling / mixture

Are you still running the standard TD04 turbo?
The FMIC won't make you run lean as the MAF should compensate fueling accordingly, you will get some lag though if on the TD04 but as long as your current fuel system can cope with that and the induction kit you should be ok. Try it and watch your Knocklink then you will know.
