Can any kind hearted soul out there point me to someone who knows their way around the 4 eat automatic gearbox as fitted to my subaru SVX. Hallo scoobyboy, the box will not change into top gear and sometimes not into third either. ive a nasty feeling this is going to be expensive. What do you think. Pete

I know this 'box is used in some Nissan vehicles, but thats all I know. 1st thing to try is a fluid change, if that doesn't work, it's rebuild time.

According to this page, it's fubar'd, though.

 

pretty much im afraid it's rare to find an svx that hasn't had a new box

 

I know a breakers yard in Sussex that has a SVX in at the moment.
