Get the Bosch sensor and connector kit from Richard Small at Pentland Components he does them for £36 delivered! Web address is www.pentlandcomponents.com you should be able to email him from there, just mention the scoobynet groupbuy.

There's a group buy already on the P1 owners club forum. £118 all-in IIRC.

Maybe a bit of a timmy moment here but **** it!
I take it that you are required to buy the sensor and the actal knock link? If you do require the sensor how come you can`t use the sensor the car has to correect knock?

Thanks.

Default KnockLink

Chris - you can splice into the existing knock sensor if you want to but I wouldn't recommend it! the sensor is approx £36 from Pentland Components.

but if you want one I can add you onto another group buy list I am organising. Due to costs involved in the last one, I will be doing the next group buy at £120 delivered. (min of 15 needed)

Russell,

The reason that I was checking out this was that when I get you to fit the decatted DP some people have advised that you need a knocklink to keep an eye on things.
So depending on the time frame etc I could well be up for it (cash permitting of course!)

Cheers,

Chris

Wink

It is not advisable to 'splice' into the cars original knock control circuit as it may impair the signal seen by the ECU thus the knock control will be less effective making the engine more susceptable to DET.

Default KnockLink

zenyck - I've added a group buy onto the Group Buy Listing and put your name down for it.
