Changing spark plugs

Changing spark plugs
Okay yesterday I changed the oil and whilst lying underneath the car (scratching my head at the amount of rust on the base of a four year old radiator )...I think I finally sussed how to change the spark plugs.
From under the car right?
If this is the way to do it does the job demand any extra care or odd sized socket bar?
Thanks

I think from the top is easier. With the battery and air filter box out of the way (both quite easy) the access isn't too bad. About an hours work altogether. No special tools but you need a short extension.

You can do it from underneath but you need something like a rachet ring spanner that fits on the end of a plug spanner that just pokes out from the head.
Easier from on top.. you can remove the air box to do drivers side and passenger side you can remove the washer fluid bottle.. no need to remove the battery but you can.
I have a plug spanner which just pokes out of the head when on the spark plug slightly or I use a plug spanner and the flexi joint which is then the ideal length to get the rachet on the end.
Got some pictures from an old how to thread I posted a couple of years back around here somewhere..
Battery and washer bottle removed, since found that battery can stay and you can twist the washer bottle onto the top of the engine once the two bolts at the top are removed and not dicconnect the pipe to the washers or the electrics.
Mine has coil packs but if you have HT leads then just pull lead off.. if you have coil packs then you need a 10mm spanner to undo them or is it 12mm?
Drivers side, intake removed and plug spanner installed
Nothing else to say really.. it is as easy as any car just appears worse due to location.
