Default MAF PROBLEMS ON MY 99!! SOLVED!!!!

HAD THE PROBLEM ON MY BELOVED & FOUND OUT IT WAS MORE THAN LIKELY THE MAF,SO AFTER PRICING 1 UP £75+.I WAS TOLD THAT HAVE I TRIED CLEANING IT? WELL I DID & IT WORKS A TREAT & THE COST, A TIN OF CARB. CLEANER OR A CONTACT TYPE CLEANER £3 BRITISH POUNDS!!!! SO HERE WE GO......

1.
UNPLUG THE WIRING HARNESS TO THE MAF..
2.
TAKE OUT MAF SENSOR ( 3 TORX SCREWS ) PULL IT OUT
3.
GIVE THE SENSOR A REAL GOOD SPRAY ( if you look closely you can see the element ) SPRAY IT ALL CONTACTS AS WELL ( THE SPRAY WONT HARM IT AT ALL SO DONT WORRY )
4.
WHEN DRY ( NEARLY STRAIGHT AWAY ) PUT MAF SENSOR BACK IN WITH THE TORX SCREWS & REPLACE HARNESS!!!!!

TOTAL TIME & COST

ABOUT 5 MINUTES & £3

TRY IT I DID ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO & ITS STILL OK
SORRY FOR NOT SAYING ANYTHING EARLIER BUT I HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY PASSWORD ON SCOOBYNET & JUST MANAGED TO SIGN BACK ON,UNDER A NEW NAME!!!!!

ANYWAY TRY IT,ITWORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now try spraying the Caps Lock or shift keys on your keyboard, as one of them appears to be stuck.

What you've said isn't really news Peppe. The trouble is that even if your sensor improves after being cleaned, it's always difficult to tell if it's functioning 100% or not.
