crankshaft oil seal some thoughts??
As you have guessed my front crankshaft oils seal has expired
i am toying with the idea of diy and have had a few ideas regarding the timing belt issue...
as far as i can see if i remove either the top tensioner and or one of the other guide pulleys i can drip the belt down, whit the crankshaft toothed cog off and redo the seal,,
replacement obviously in reverse.....
now i was thinking on how to hold the cams, and the belt in situ , and thought of the following,
if i get a couple of those g type pistol cramps and clamp one on each camshaft pully and hold the belt on that way, i would stop both pullys from moving, and the belt from dropping off and loosing tension.
then i would just have to replace the top guide pully and tensioner
is this a feasable method, or should i just pay to have it done..
