Exclamation Please help: Forge DV problem

Ok this is the problem: car is a MY00 STi6 (classic shape) with 3" exhorst, induction and a few more mods inc. ECUTek. Boost peaks at 1.2 bar and settles on around 1.1 bar. I have a Forge recirciulating DV and it seem s that iot struggles to get rid of boost (it makes that chattering ta-ta-ta-ta noise like the turbocharged cars of yore) The DV still has the original spring that it came with, my question is what can I do to solve the problem?? It is pretty obvious that some of the air is going out the turbo rather than the DV which is not goo. Soimeone suggested the fitment of an atmospheric DV to solve the problem, but I hate the sound it makes

I have a set of 2 springs that the DV came with (yellow and red) and a few ring like things that look like spacers. Would fiddling with the DV springs solve the problem??

Please any advice would be appreciated as I dont have a clue on what to do and I am not happy running the car as is

On a few cars with the original blue spring, the dv releases pressure too early & you don't get that turbo kick in the back of your seat feeling.

By ensuring the red spring is in the dv then you'll soon get this feeling back, if you're taking it apart you may as well replace the internals (you didn't mention how old it is) & re grease using the red polymer supplied

Don't be tempted to use anyother grease than what is supplied......If you don't like the sound sell it & buy a standard re circ 2nd hand from someone like Andy at Grade A on 01663 744114.....or buy new from any of the specialists out there RCM have them on the shelf (check first though!) contact Simon on 01455 828610

Nope mate, my problem is not that the DV opens too early, the problem is that the DV seems to be unable to cope (eg unable to get rid of enough boost) and hence the boost is escaping via the turbo

The DV is brand new and I bought it and had it shipped to SA from TSL

Same problem but with atmospheric forge.
I have trying the all the combinations with springs and spacers but nothing.
The same sound is coming from the induction kit. I have for two days a bonalume DV and i cant hear any similar sound.

I'll sell you a nice, bog standard OE Subaru dumpvalve for £10 plus postage. No such hassle with those!

Question

Does the dump valve sound as if its 'stuttering'.....I don't know whats the problem but one of my mates had that problem on his cossie and he was running a 'double piston dump valve'.

Dont know if its stuttering, all I know is that its failing to get rid of enough boost. Come to think of it it sounds like stuttering??
