Question Map sensor pipe?

Ive located the map sensor to put a fuel cut defender on and the pipe seems to be going to a little condenser like thing with wires coming from it.
Any ideas what this is?
as im not sure where to cut into the pipe now!
I presume the map is the little square half matchbox sized black cube?

The match box sized item is the map sensor and the other one is the pressure exchange solenoid.

stick it engine side of the pressure exchange solenoid.
It won't make much difference, if any, but gives you more hose to play with.
