Default Bigger i/c now with fuel cut??

I have an my92wrx so I changed the slanty i/c to an my99 one and it worked a treat in terms of extra pull, but now when at high speed if I floor her she hits fuel cut!!!

What psi is fuel cut set at on this car?

Should I be any where near it?

I think fuel cut is 14.7...

I done the sti 5/6 IC mod too and it made a 2psi diffrence in boost, luckily i had a MBC so i just turned the boost down a little...

HTH,

John.

Hi guys, sorry to butt in.

I was in the process of doing the tmic upgrade when the board changed, now I can't get the old threads that told you how to modify the newer intercooler. Any advice, links or pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Fit a scoobyecu M8 - This has a raised fuel cut plus will make the most of your new TMIC as the boost target is higher too Also you would be able to run safer on 98Ron with less risk of DET

Cheers

I have done the same conversion but with an MY02 WRX intercooler and an having the same problem.I have been advised to get a knocklink and afr meter before I fit my dawes and HKS FCD so that my engine doesn't go bang.
I am also going to get a scoobyecu.

How much do these go for?

My car is an MY95 WRX import.

Scooby ecu !!!! When!!

The boys are too damn busy.

Cheers for the info I'm waiting for all my gauges to be fitted!

Also banzai one good piece of advise-------- make sure you fit a knocklink before you fit the larger i/c cos its a bitch when you realise that you have to refit it all again just to get the bleeding sensor in place!!!

And its a really really tight fit.
