Smile Samco Hose Question?

I've just recently purchased a Samco hose kit (TCS168) for my 01WRX and have now managed to get my hands on an STi7 intercooler. This means that I now need 2 hoses out of an STi7 hose kit (TCS209) so that all is matching lol
I've been on the phone earlier to Samco direct and they gave me the part numbers of the two hoses (TB213=intercooler hose & TB1096=turbo to intercooler hose)
Have phoned four places listed on Samcos website as official distributors (Inc Demon Tweeks) and none of them carry stock but they are checking pricing and availability with Samco. All have said roughly 10 weeks leadtime.
Does anybody know if any of the Subaru specialists would be likely to stock these individual hoses or anywhere else for that matter? (I don't really wanna buy the full kit as I will have two hoses that are surplus to requirements (intercooler to throttle body and dump valve to intercooler hose) as these are supplied in the WRX kit...
Suppose I could always try and flog em on here but there's always a chance I might not sell em!!

Hope somebody can help me?

Cheers

Nick

Don't forget that to fit the STi7 top mount to your WRX you will need a metal "Y" piece for underneath the new intercooler. I hope you got it with the new one as it cost about £70 (I think)

Thanks,
Yep,that's included. (Not actually received the intercooler as yet but have seen a pic of the underside of the intercooler and the metal y piece is included)

Thanks

Why don't you just buy the STi set and sell your WRX set?

Saves a lot of hastle and probably won't cost you that much.

Wink

Nick,as the WRX kit is less than 2 weeks old and only done 10 miles since fitment, see what Spooks is prepared to pay as we all know Samco's stock of the full kit is none existant.

If he makes a good offer, order the STI set and get your under used wallet out and pay RRP for once, finding the 2 pieces for under the intercooler for the STI in Blue is not going to be easy.

Cool

Thanks guys.....
Makes sense for me to buy a full STi kit and then sell my WRX kit (Which has only been on the car a matter of weeks - The car is currently off the road for this week anyway as I'm waiting on new brakes arriving)
As the WRX kit (Samco part nr TCS168) is supplied in three pieces, two of the pieces will be brand new (I'll take these out of the STi kit that I order) and the other will have nominal mileage.I still have the original Samco box too. Gonna be askin £50 plus a few quid P&P.Anyone interested? (It makes the engine bay look nice!! lol)

Cheers

As stated, the WRX kit (TCS168) I have comes with two out of the three pieces brand new and the third piece with nominal mileage. This means the kit is as new and comes fully boxed.I'm looking for £50 plus whatever it costs for P&P
Any interest?

Lol! Reminds me of that habit PC geeks have of cutting holes in the side of their cases and fitting neons and windows.

Wonder how long it's going to be before someone offers an Impreza bonnet with a plexiglass window set into the top of it?!

Zippy's hit the nail on the head. Why not store it under the bonnet of my shed instead of in your loft?

Oh, and Zippy, 288 bhp at Prosport, I'm getting closer

Didn't get a torque reading as the rpm sensor was playing up on the dyno so I only have a speed reading, not rpm. As soon as I've worked out my gearing I'll work it out.

There was a red Classic which had perspex sections in the bonnet at the last NBO

They had a plate on it 4U 2NV and was by one of the stying companies but I forget which one......In fact I think I took a picture of it (not digital)
