Panel filters for newage 2.0GX 'non-turbo'

Unhappy Panel filters for newage 2.0GX 'non-turbo'

are there any alternatives to the stock part, tried a wrx panel filter but too small anybody had any luck here (would prefer green cotton but apparently non available).

Any form of help would be nice. Taa!

Not sure about the GX but the classic sports had the same size as the turbo's, I have a green cotton in my MY98 Sports wagon.

the air filter changed on the sport on the my00 phase 2, i had a k&n filter on mine not sure if the latter clasics are the same layout as the gx (air box where the intercooler is on a turbo i.e. under the scoop)

taa the filter is larger in size than the turbo ones, giving me a bit of a headache.

If all else fails you could always go the cone filter route. Not my personal choice but needs must ect...

Question

isnt there something about the sensor/wire becoming damaged by using these?
