If it is the turbo set then it is a piece of p1ss. A bit on common sense a good check to make sure all the clips are undone and a good bit of wiggling will sort it out. Undo the intercooler and carefully wiggle and pull and it WILL pop off.

Good luck

The intercooler comes off easier than it goes back on, but at least after putting the samco hose on you dont feel like youre cracking the ****e stock plastic pipe. Taking the stock ones off, put on the new ones, and you can put some wd40 on the throttle and compressor outlet hose edges. tighten all the hose clamps well, line up and push on the throttle body hose first, laying the intercooler flat in position, then reach under and get the comp outlet hose on, might need to lever it on a bit with any kind of rod, then again tighten remaining hose clamps, dont wait for anything to get blown off the first time you go for a spin and take your foot off the throttle.

Is it true the Samco Intercooler hoses have better flow over the OEM ones?... I'm thinking of fitting some to my car when I fit my Dawes device to up the boost.

BTW - How much is a set of Samco Intercooler hoses?

Matt.

Cinders,
Main reason people swap is for split prevention reasons.
Samco are suppossed to have a smoother flow, but its so slight it won't be noticable.
The standard y piece under the intercooler is plastic and a increase in boost (ppp, Tek etc) may cause it to split.
Cheapest I found for a 99/00 UK Turbo was Impreziv @ £59.95 - but I'm not 100% sure they are still trading. After that M J Designs who advertise on Snet Shop were the cheapest.

That has got me wondering now
I am now running increased boost after a power engineering re-map.
How often do the oem hoses split?

My car is booked into scoobyclinic on monday for a service and some gauges.
Should i be looking at a samco upgrade as well.

I would definitely consider an upgrade, it's better safe than sorry.......

And they look cool too.
