Help please. Check engine light.
drb5 fitted a new radiator and knocklink to the car this evening. (many thanks Davie!! )
On start up when job was finished car seemed OK then all of a sudden fans came on and I got a check engine light.
Will check code tomorrow.
Any ideas to work on folks? Car had a dodgy radiator for a while and heating was getting cold at idle. Thermostat gone?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you might have twatted the temp sensor. I think the fans run all the time when it fails?
Do an ECU check and see what the fault code is.

My money's on...
21 - Engine coolant temperature sensor
When the ECU doesn't know what the temperature of the coolant is, it assumes the worst, goes into panic mode and switches on the radiator fans...

It's either the engine coolant temperature sensor, or you've acquired 2 controlled substance abusing hamsters, using your fans as running wheels...

Dont think so, the reading is good on WOT. Last time I had a MAF fail, it screwed up the afr signal big time.
I also tried a new one to no avail. TPS and ISCV are fine too

Right.
Checked codes today and initially 21 flashed as did 22 (knock)
21 cleared with 22 remaining but have just fitted knocklink so will look at that.
Airlock after fitting new radiator?
