Question Help! Cant get plugs oot!!

Doh! Coil packs off.......wrong size of socket for plugs!
What is the size of the socket required to remove the spark plugs? Does it require a special tool as there doesn't seem to be a lot of room between the plug and the cylinder head.

Ps what is the plug gap as well? 0.7mm seems to stick in my head, Ngk6b's and car is running 15.5psi

Thanks

Dougie

The size is 16mm.

I use a long reach (spark plug socket size without rubber) socket, with a knuckle joint, then a couple of various length (depending on which plug) extension bars.

It may help to remove the washer bottle, but I've got it down to a fine art now, so I don't need to.

Are you lads using ordinary long reach sockets or the spark plug ones? I cant get a socket to fit it, dont need to force them do you? just seems as tho there is no room between the plug and the head. All the rubber connectors are still attached to the coil packs so theres nothing left attached to the plug.

Complete skoosh case until I try to get the socket onto the plug!
