Hi

Kinda new to this forum stuff but been drivin a scooby for a couple of years now and love it.

Started having problems a few months ago (just after changing spark plugs but now think that was just coincidence). Power just cuts under hard acceleration. Got a boost gauge to see where/when it was being cut and it is always just before the .75 bar mark. Replaced wastegate solenoid, no change, checked spark plug gaps and coils (96 model so coil on each pluglead), no change, even tried the brake cleaner in the actuator hose trick but still no change. Oil is just above the "L" on the dipstick but has been filled to the top in the past. Can hear a clicking from the engine compartment every time accelerator is released even at low revs and would guess this is the wastegate actuator?

Any suggestions please or should I just try and relace it?

Wink

Could be the ECU has detected a problem, look HERE to find out how to use the diagnostics to see whether the ECU has found a fault.

Cheers
