Does one HAVE to remap the ecu if one changes the down pipe for a de-cat item?
I want the extra noise you see.
Its a '93 wrx import.

You will get the best out of the de-cat if you do, also there will be other benefits such as getting it mapped for Uk fuel (optimax) so you don't have to keep using octane booster.

If it was well set up previously then a D/P decat on its own will not change it enough to make a re-map necessary but a re-map would optimise your settings.
