Air Temp Sensor Mod

Hi Guys,
I have just aquired an air sensor mod chip,well its just a resistor on a u shaped piece of wire which seemingly just plugs in the air intake sensor on the manifold, now my problem is, being a u shape it only has 2 pins to insert into sensor but the sensor has 5 pinholes so which holes do i plug this into ?.
The instructions that came with it are for generic mod and dont give details...
Any help much appreciated...

In short it is a con, at worst it is dangerous. A lot of Scoobies don't have an air temperature sensor, and those that do, it doesn't always affect the ignition timing. There are similar tricks with coolant temperature sensors as well.
The ones you really want to manipulate are the MAF and MAP sensors, but a single discrete component is never going to give the ideal mixture and timing change for all loads and engine speeds, that is why the ECU uses 16 * 16 maps with high resolution.
An additional problem is that blindly altering signals to the ECU could result in a lean and advanced situation which can easily punch a hole in a piston from detonation (knock). This horrible process is the demise of many a badly tuned or inadequately octaned import engine.
You are better adding a bit of boost to a UK car, not to an import, but monitoring fuelling and knock as you go. Read up on the hundreds of threads in this forum on these topics, read "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell before doing anything, or give your car to an acknowledged expert with good results and reliability, examples of which you will find recommendations of in this forum.
