My car's got a slightly sticky throttle near the start of its travel. For example, the when revs should be falling to idle the engine occasionally gets stuck at around 1,100 rpm. A quick blip of the throttle normally allows it to settle properly. Is this likely to be a mechanically sticking throttle cable? Or, should I be thinking about ECU/fuelling issues? Assuming it's just just cable, where would be a good place to start freeing it up?

under the bonnet mate with a Can of WD40 in your hand - look to the i/c and just below it you should be able to see the throttle linkage. Give it a bloody good spray with WD40 and a bit of a clean up (if you can get to it) as I had a similar problem with a MY93 WRX and this sorted it.
