Just fitted Magnex decat downpipe to my Fujisubo decat system on WRX 94 it has a scoobyecu and itg pannel filter running on optimax, I road tested it and you can now hear the turbo spinning up but although the car is fast im not sure if around 80mph onwards the performance has tailed off a bit?? any thoughts on why a decat downpipe may do this? is it because the boost is coming in earlier?? any ideas please, not sure how old my fuel filter is??

recently fitted a decat system with panel filter and i also didnt get the gains i was expecting...and after a while it got slightly worse pulls ok in 1st 2nd and 3rd but seems slightly limp after[still goes like the clappers but not as much as i thaught it should].also it holds the boost fine at 0.8 bar so nothing wrong there ,if u reset the ecu it makes it abit better 4 awile[use search option 2 find the procedure 4 doing this.im getting a scooby ecu done so im hopeing if there is a fault the higher boost will show it up[coil packs have crossed my mind].
p.s mines a my96 wrx.
edited 2 say now i think about it i ve observed a slight flat spot in the midrange[no drop in boost and knocklink and afr are ok?]picks up again towards 4500rpm.

I have a full decat and K&N induction kit, recently fitted the samco turbo hose kit (JDM 95 WRX)
Made .9 bar before and now make .95 bar, as far as im aware the JDMs should make .9 bar as standard..
Just waiting for the scoobyecu guys to get stock in and going to whip that in see what happens..
I noticed that the SAMCO hose gives better boost but lag seems up and it defo is slightly less strong in higher revs than before..
I guess it might be something to do with higher boost delivering the ideal power point (5.5k) earlier, giving u the feeling that its going slower..
Or im wittering !

Interesting......just had a full de cat on 93 WRX and the car is definitly slower at high speeds, fifth ton up it feels very sluggish.
Will reset ecu today and see if it makes any difference.
