Hi all,

Just got a second hand Bailey dump Valve for my sti typer 1997 P reg.

Can anyone advise how i fit this, does it go where the bung is on the passenger side of the intercooler?

Also where does the vacuum type pipe lead to thats on the end of the dumper?

All help appreciated.

Cashy, does yours go on the intercooler? If it does, email NevB, he's got one on his scoob. If it is an erlier one and I think it may be, you're welcome to come over and check my baily out.

Skoosh.

matey, me mate jonno just fitted one onto my 98 terzo,
the dump valve does just go on the place ur on about, easy enough if u have a fitting kit? have u?
the pipe ur on about, if u look to the left of where the dump valve is going to go, u will see 2 tubes(like the one on the end of ya dump) (maybe a bit fatter) inserted to too holes, there should be 1 hole free, it goes on the free hole if u get me,
kinda hard to explain.....

hope this helps

I dont think the dump attatches to the cooler on the 97, i havenet a fitting kit, just a valve, a bit of hose and a metal piece of pipe.

I think i need some thin black pipe for the vacuum?

You really need to get a fitting kit, makes it a helluva lot easier. On my MY98 you take the old dumpvalve off from down the left hand side of the intercooler, take the reducing pipe of as well as you need this, disconnect the vacuum pipe from the top of the manifold, you then need to fit a new piece of pipe, this is supplied in the kit as well as the bung, I found it easier to take of the bracket holding the intercooler first. The pipe fits on the metal pipe the old intercooler was fitted to an the bung goes in the end, think that's the recirc bit. Then take the reducing hose you took off and turn it round and fit it to the pipe coming out the top of your intercooler, make sure you fit the intercooler bracket back first. The dump valve then goes on the end of the reducing hose and the vacuum pipe from the dump valve goes to the spout on the manifold, if the hose on the dump valve is 3mm you may have to get a plastic connector and use a bit of the old hose to fit on the manifold, make sure all the hose clips are tight and start her up.
I would really advise getting the fitting kit as it has all the bits you need, silicone lower hose and bung, all the hose clips and new silicone vacuum pipe with the plastic connector to change from 3-5mm.
Hope this helps.

Just finished fitting the bailey. Went to see SKOOSH's scoob to see if the fitting was the same, it was totally different to mine...

I phoned Mark st scoobyclinic to ask him where it should be fitted to my car, within 5 mins Mark had explained fully where and how to fit the dumper...BIG THANKS SCOOBYCLINIC.

The valve actually fitted on the right hand side of the intercooler using the original pip reducer and two clips, the samco hose i got from the fitting kit fits onto the metal pipe juts under the intercooler, one end i then BUNGED.

Road test was interesting, POP BANG POP BANG FLAME BANG on overun....excelent..............
