As a follow up to this:
Scoobies in the snow

Is it possible to headbut the dash between the airbags, where the centre storage/gauges go?

Cause I hit something that has left a nice scar and it almost took an eye. I think it was this due to the blood splatter?

Yes, it is considered possible for head to make contact with the centre console, and such things are evaluated when cars are sent for crash testing. This is why, incidentally, we could never get the Jap spec automatic climate control system on the classic Impreza. The control panel failed the Euro crash test.

Given the state of the car and the angle of the collision, it could have been almost anything that caused your head injury. Have you considered the possibility of some fragments of windscreen glass being caught between the airbag and your face?

Good idea, but fragments wouldn't have caused the continuous line I have down my face to my nose, it then bends towards my eye. Similar to the right hand side of the top centre storage bit in the dash. It's as if it flapped open a bit before I struck it.
