Hi
I have had my P1 3 1/2 years now. What i have noticed is that it is turning over slow on cold start, very slow and only just firing up.I have checked the voltage through the subaru alarm and the light flashed 11 times which means 11 volts when the engine is swiched off.
Is it time for a new battery.?

Cool

average life is 4-5 years. can get some bad ones that can go as soon as it's fitted or ones that last much as 7-8 years. what to do is check the levels. unscrew the wee bolts on top of the battery and check if the level is up to the wee plastic arm type thing just inside the case. if it's low, fill it with cold water. when you've topped them all up, give the battery a shake to get rid of and bubbles inside, screw the caps back on and fire it up. should be ok for a good while anyway.

let us know what happens tho bud

change your battery marty! same thing happened to me, slower turning over then the ****** died on me in a pub in the middle of nowhere
bought one from halfords, bit pricey at £60 but it does have a 4 year guarantee!
not worth waiting for it die IMHO and leaving you stranded, and it was only 2 1/2 years old!
