Hey all,

Good ol' Xmas bonus has kicked in and im thinking of some mods!

MY00 mods are as follows:
- Full MRT exhaust
- Silicon Y pipe
- MBC set at 15psi
- A'PEXi air filter

Car has run a 124.4 & 130.5 on 2 seperate roller dyno's here in Sydney.

At the moment im only planning on spending around $2k.
(going to Hawaii in Jan and the drinks aren't cheap there :P )

What do you think i should do?

- TMIC & EBC?
- TMIC & ECU?
- ECU & EBC?
- FMIC?
- VF34/22?

I was thinking of getting the e-01 EBC & e-manage with a TMIC.....good move you reckon?

Has anyone had any experience with the e-Manage on the GC8 WRX?

I've always been a fan of the FMIC so my heart is set on owning one in the near future. Worthwhile mod to do it now withs the mods ive got or later?

With the current mods, which would be most beneficial to me till i save more $$$'s up?

I've had this discussion with our Aussie Rex sites, but i thought i'd put a post up here and see what others on the other side of the world think!

Cheers,
T

p.s Brands i prefer to use are:

- EBC (AVCR & e01)
- ECU (GREDDY e-Manage, A'PEXi)
- IC (MRT/HYPERFLOW)

On the "other" side, there is another climate then here so I suggest that you fit a TMIC and a decent turbo with a good spool up like the VF34.
Also, consider to spend your money on suspension and brakes (worth 60 Bhp each on track, I swear !!)

Personally I think it's useless to spend huge amounts of money on TMIC and turbo's when the turbo lag is so greéat that you have to push your car to 4k rpm !!! Also consider the extra stress on gearbox/drivetrain.

I have also a MY00, standard engine, turbo and IC and I have loads of fun on road and track, but with better brakes (AP-Wilwood) and suspension (AST coilovers)

Cheers,

TMIC is FMIC of course and also consider a full custom remap with the ECUtek system.
