Question

Fitted a MRT fuel cut defender the other week and I keep getting the check engine light. The light stays on for about five minutes after start up then goes out.

I got a select monitor on it yesterday and it reports a code 45 - pressure sensor fault. Frankly I'm not sure what this would be as I have a Dawes fitted so the boost solenoid is disconnected. Any ideas??

Wiring or FCD are faulty.

Measure voltage at the MAP sensor input to the ECU at idle and 0 and 10 PSI with a DVM and post findings including model year and we'll try to help more.

Thanks John, I'll go over the wiring tomorrow morning I was fairly confident in the wiring I wasn't sure the FCD was related to the code.

I managed to measure the voltage, 1.42 (IIRC), at cold idle but I'll have help tomorrow to check the others

Cheers

Cool

I had the same problem make shure that you connect to a 12V supply that is still present when the engine is cranking over.

Thanks for the info. I've gone back over the wiring, replacing with solder and started the adjustment over - all seems good so perhaps it was the wiring

Thanks for your help
