New Oil filter Anyone ??

Just been and got New oil filter and had big shock. Anyone seen the size of it.Damn its small, Doesn,t look big enough to go on Lawn mower let alone Car. Its proberly half the size off the original, been assured its right thou by dealer. So we will see

It's designed to clear the larger headers on the twin scroll cars and is standard across the new Subaru range.
If it's up to the task on the Spec C's, I'm sure it'll be fine on any other Impreza. At end of day, if you're replacing the filter regularly enough, there won't be a problem with it.

It is the right one!!! I had one in just to show customers what the future oil filter would look like...
I still have an old blue (new) one on display & have been offered over the odds for it.....who knows I might auction it in SOtheby's one day, a part of Subaru "Classic" history (or a load of old crock.....)

They make the car better and you accuse them of being rip merchants? The filter has to do the same job as it used to, so just because it's smaller, it doesn't necessarily mean it's cheaper to make.
In any case, the price you pay is more to do with what the reseller decides to charge you than anything else, the margins on consumables are enormous.
If you want to talk about automotive pennypinching, try taking a Ford to pieces...
