Ok my power steering pump has started making a nasty noise, ive been quoted £75+vat for a S/H pump does any1 know how much a new pump is and things to watch for when changing the pump.

have you checked the fluid level?

New pump is more than £300 and all fitted cost about £400 when I had an original fitted a year ago.

Fluid was my first guess Rob but sadly no

I pumped some oil into the front bearing and gave it a shot wd40
just to make sure the oil got in ok, it stopped the noise on startup but still screams at 3000rpm.
Still should be sorted tomorrow i hope
