52d is dark blue mica
95h is deep blue mica
There is a slight difference and you would pronb notice it, get the spoiler painted in the same colour as the car.
Note - Subary changed 52d to 95h, but there is a slight difference.
52d - 97 - 00 years
95h - 00 - 02 years

sorry mate but you are wrong, well, according to du pont paints which i use daily, and i quote from the 03 tech book
52d dk blue mica 2 f2697 97 - 00
if any body has a 96 with a 52d code let us know, but mr du pont is generally correct.
no i dont want to argue either, but you have been mis informed.

Alex,
You will need to get the spoiler repainted, 95H (deep blue mica) is a fair bit lighter than 52D (dark blue mica).
The different names depends on what those markets call them, but just go by the codes.
52D from August 1996. It is possible to buy a Impreza WRX in 52D from Japan - registered Aug 96. (but a 1997 model year facelift), but it's still a '96 model. I've seen them and had parts painted for them.

Lads, only trying to give info, wont bother if u get silly
I only paint cars for a living (smart repairs) so i am going by our tech books from du pont which to be fair are pretty accurate.
I quote
52d is listed as subaru 97 - 00
95h is listed as subaru 00 - 02
not ssying they are 100% correct, as obv not, but thats the listing, so if some one wants a code or info i quote from that reference, as its the same book every du pont paint shop will have.
Only trying to help
regards
pete
Nice red one by the way
