I have a 1994 STi version 1. To the right and underneath of the Steering wheel(kinda knee level), theres a little black switch, any ideas what it does. I guess I should ask S.B who I got the car off, but hey this is more fun. I have turned it on(cuz I'm a bloke and thats what we do), and it didn't seem to do anything, it isn't fog lights as I have already found that switch.

Its a Toad jobbie, the one thats locks your doors when you start the engine. I was seriously hoping it was an ejector seat, would fooking hurt though as theres no sunroof. It also isn't a batman type smoke screen

I always remember one of my best friends having a mystery switch in his first car.
Him Mum gave him the family Volvo740 Estate as a first car..2 tonnes of pig iron with a 2.3lt engine.
Anyway, under the dash, there was what can only be discribed as a "big red switch", one of the old style ones...huge!!!
we never pressed it in fear that it was some sort of anti theft device that would shut the engine down, untill one day it got the better of us...and we pressed it.................wow..
After the inital shock of what happened we popped the bonnet, only to find that the spritely old gent that had owned the car before hand, had installed a pair of air horns from what looked like the QE2..4 of them!!!!!....great fun..the rest of the day was spent scaring school kids and the passing planes....
Mysterie switch...."roll the dice" give it a press, you never know, could be na ejector seat to get shut of the wife when "nag mode" is engaged.....lol
all the best

GAH!!! I wish it was horns on my car. It is the fog light I pressed it this morning. My car didn't rise up on stilts, emit a massive smoke screen or fire any anti-aircraft missiles
