The car has ppp but with firestorm bb.
The noise started before bb went on.
Spoke to a mechanic and he said he had not heard of this one.
Everything seems to be running ok but can't work out what the noise is.
Car has done 3200mls.
Edited to say-- my dealer is now closed so it means ar*eing about for a day, travelling umpteen miles and getting a sh*t courtesy car for a week.
Just thought someone on here might have some idea's.

For the last month or so when i accelerate then change up from 3500 revs upwards i get a growling noise, sounds like its from the engine but cant be sure. UK WRX 03.
And i know i dont have a dog under the bonnet either before that one comes up.
Any ideas.?

Is the car standard or with ppp?
But what I cant understand is why you havent contacted the dealer and got it back to them as first port of call? surely if there is a problem, its up to the dealer to fix it asa.
You shouldn't have to find the cure for them, thats what they get paid for.
