Doesnt the scooby ecu learn what fuel its running on, if i start using octane boost, wont the car expect this rating everytime i fill up, say for instance that one day i have no octane boost and fill up with super unleaded then will the car be running as if it has higher octane fuel???
Just a thought..............

Your ECU should adapt pretty quickly to lower quality fuel. However, if your car's modified, particularly a manual boost controller, be very careful. The ignition can only be retarded a certain amount, and if knock is still detected, the ECU would attempt to reduce maximum boost. If you're controlling boost though, the ECU would be unable to reduce it. You could very well be detting. If you have a Knocklink, keep a careful eye on it, and adjust your driving accordingly.
