Question

My dawes afr metre is wired via my ECU and has been working fine for the last 6 months.then today I replaced the standard downpipe with a magnex, swapped the lam sensor over, which came out no problem, to the magnex, and now the afr metre has stopped working.the question is,is the subaru lambda sensor so sensitive that when moved it can stop working all together,if so where is the cheapest place to get one for a uk my00

I think you'll find most lambdas are fairly hardy as they have no moving parts. 'Tis more than likely a bad connection in the plug/socket or trapped wire from when the exhaust was fitted.

Agree with Leeroy..

They put up with some real high temps and are not going to be too fussed unless you hit it with a big hammer.

Thanks for the replies, but just thought, now the exhaust gasses are escaping more quickly, due to new downpipe and centre sec, have I not given the ECU enough time to catch up with the new mod, would that affect the afr meter, given its wired through the ECU or not.

I doubt it. Check the signals at the ECU / Lambda with a DVM.

Probably just the connection.

An ECU reset wouldn't hurt either.
