the Hants mob are going on the rolling road in december, my car being one.
would it be useful to fit a "heath-robinson" ic waterspray for the day?
I am looking at fitting one with a pressure switch to come on when on boost, but until then is it worth me just wiring in the pump to a waterbottle and fixing the nozzles over the ic and having full time waterspray during the session?
what will the advantages be, if any?

I fitted an STi water spray kit to mine last summer, and don't really think you'll notice a difference in performance. I can see a lower EGT reading when used though
Why don't you T off the headlamp washers and use the button and pump ?? I've heard you can buy the STi spray nozzles for less than £20, so would work out very cheap.

Alot of Rolling Road places run the car with the bonnet up IIRC to run a fan blower direct onto the Intercooler,so unless the nozzles are mounted on the Intercooler itself, then it won't be of any use! (Unless you leave the bonnet down, but then you will run alot hotter charge temps anyway, due to under bonnet temps)??

Len is that another 1 of your sneaky 10bhp mods that you have added
Major problems with my Scooby at the moment, a realy bad fuel smell and the engine won't crank over. Removed the spark plugs and cranked the engine over by hand and found No 1 cylinder was full of petrol not good. Having a better look tomorrow.
Colin.
