1 of 3 things
maybe MAF sensor
or Fuel filter
or coil/spark plugs
these are just basic assumptions but could be either or none
get it on a select monitor or connect 2 green connectors under steering column and try to read any codes it gives through CEL flashes

Judge, its all very well searching but when you do a search and click on the topic you think will contain the answer, you then find that it has no replies!!!! So you then have to do the search all over again as if you try to go back the page expires!!! I could be there for hours...........

Perfectly normal behaviour when cold.
ECU running in closed loop mode (or some such).
Basically ECU is overfuelling until warm (open loop mode).

Just to add that its nowhere near as bad when using the car continously for the last three days, so perhaps it just doesnt like not being used!!!
